Am I a believer?

I started this off with a question. Am I a true believer? For those that were at church this past Sunday, John was contrasting genuine believers with professed believers. What is a professed believer, and am I one of them?

The apostle John gave us 3 false claims of professed believers. These are those who say they're Christians, yet do not practice the truth in their daily lives. John says the first one will say, "If we say we have fellowship with God while walking in darkness does not practice the truth" These professed believers walk in darkness

Then there are those who say, "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves". These professed believers are deceived

Then there are those "who say they never sinned". These are those that defame God

True believers are those who now they sin, and confess their sins, but it's only to them that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses them from all sin. Find this truth out in next week's text, as John continues his contrast between genuine and counterfeit believers
