After exhorting yesterday, Peter's point in V 5 really explains it all, when he says, "Clothe yourselves, all of you with humility toward one another". The point he is making is let the world get at each other's throat. Let chaos rule the world; it shouldn't be in the house of the Lord. We need to seek peace with everyone as God would have it. So when we do humble ourselves towards each other, as Peter says we should, we are seeking peace and love with everyone. God is not a God of chaos, but of perfection. Let us as a church seek that perfection, that perfect union of the body of Christ that pleases God
