Come Pray with Us!

Many so-called born-again believers don't and won't take time to pray. In the book of James, he tells us to confess your faults one to another, that ye may be healed. “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16) KVJ

Edward McKendree Bounds prominently known as E.M. Bounds

In the early 19th century, reverend E.M. Bounds wrote several books on prayer. In his book Purpose in Prayer (Bounds, 1978) Bounds wrote: “The more praying in the world the better the world would be and the mighty year to forces against evil everywhere.”

Prayer, in one phase of its operation is a disinfectant and preventative. It purifies the air; it destroys the contagion of evil. It is no voice crying unheard and unheeded in the silence. It is a voice which goes into God's ears, and it lives as long as God's ear is open to holy pleas. As long as God's heart is alive to holy things. God shapes the world by prayer.

The role of prayers is necessary for us to mightily worship God. Fervent, consistent prayer keeps us close to God and will help us resist Satan’s attempts to discourage us.
