Requirements for Membership?

The term membership refers to someone who is a member of an organization, whether a government party, business, or even a church. It is not vastly different for a person who is an attender of that organization.

Membership often entails ritualistic questions and answers to answer prior to the administration’s endorsement and approval of the rights to become a member. Often there are requirements, such as taking one or two courses to see if you fit in. However, if membership of a specific church requires the knowledge of what that church believes, then there is something drastically wrong with that requirement. As with Lydia and Cornelius in the Book of Acts (Acts 16:11–15), while they did believe in God, they were proselytes to the Way that needed to be trained to recognize the Truth, as Paul gave them.

No one who wants to know Christ’s teaching and His desire that all know His word are welcome to request membership without any ritualistic requirements. Join us now. If you find we are not what you wish to hear after listening to the exegetical preaching and teaching presented in Lighthouse Bible Church, then we will prayerfully remove you name and pray you will find a church that will preach the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27).
