Our WBF came together to hold this event for "Women Fellowship" on May 15, 2021. Why "Rag Wreaths"? Great question! Our Mission Team went to Haiti a few years ago, where they learned to make these amazing wreaths made out of rags. It is one of the many ways these "poor, but rich" people seek to earn enough money to survive in such a poor environment. ("I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich))." Revelation 2:9.
Yet there is more to it. It was a great time of fellowship. The women began with breakfast (everyone loves to eat). Becky Carr led the women in a short, but rich devotion called "Rags to Riches." How appropriate? Karen Pasquariello, who learned to make these wreaths on our mission trip to Haiti, demonstrated how to make these great looking wreaths from "rags." [A little side note: thanks must go out to the men who did a lot of the cutting.]
Could there be more? Yes! It was a great time of fellowship and bonding with each other in a great way. Here are just a few of the pictures that prove this.
Most had such a great time of fellowship that they did not quite get to finish their wreaths at the project so, they took them home to finish.
Lighthouse Bible Church is constantly adding events like this, not only for the women, but the men as well. These events offer a great time of fellowship, often while learning more about our Great Lord and Savior. A special thanks to the WBF for this fun and educational event, "Rags to Riches."
