Famine in the land? Yes, I believe there is a famine for the Word of God in most
churches today, which is why there's no desiring truth anymore. You can't desire something that's not taught or preached. You can't desire something you don't really understand. So is it the church goers fault? No, I blame those in the pulpit. They don't preach the full counsel of God because I believe they're afraid of the backlash. The apostle Paul certainly wasn't afraid of backlash. Paul said to the church in Ephesus in Acts 20:26 "Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you, for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God".
