What a tremendous blessing today was as we served at the First Haitian Baptist Church in Belleview today. Twenty-Nine of us left early this morning for the 90-minute drive. The first few hours were spent prepping for sports, packing backpacks, sorting through clothes, putting together toiletry bags, etc. Because of the generosity of our church, we had several trucks and carloads of supplies.
We worshipped together as Pastor Ted shared a beautiful message on God's love and loving one another.
Our Haitian brothers and sisters served us by providing a delicious Haitian meal: goat, rice and beans, chicken in creole sauce, and fried plantain. Our teens and young adults did a great job sweating it out in the heat playing soccer and volleyball. Our children were amazing as they painted faces and helped with crafts. What a beautiful time we had doing ministry together. Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, and served. We may never know this side of heaven the seeds that were sown.
I wanted to say thank each of you for your part in making today a success. What we did today was plant seeds and God was glorified through your service. It was hot but you all hung in there. Everyone worked hard. Our kids, teens and young adults did an amazing job. Thank you for serving today. I love you and am so thankful for each of you. looking forward to serving and working together again!
